HAPPY BIRTHDAY HUNTER !!!

Happy Birthday Hunter our baby boy turned three, we always have everyone over to celebrate the occasion. This year it was just us to celebrate. We didn't have anyone over because it is flu season and I am trying to eliminate germs. I hope that this birthday was a memorable for him because tomorrow he head up to Primaries. Our boys can't wait to play in the snow. And after every treatment we go down stairs to get ice cream and make a wish outside. Please pray for us and our safe trip through the storms tomorrow and our safe return home on wednesday. Thank you for keeping us in your thought and prayers. Love, Laubs P.S.Yes we did let them drive all over his cake and they LOVED it !!!!

Another bone marrow drive !!!

So very happy a young man named Dallin Holt has choose to have a bone marrow drive as his eagle scout project. We stopped by to bring treats to help out. I hope no one has to hear the words your son might have to have a bone marrow transplant. The second day at Primaries, Hunter's doctor came in and said these word to us. Rick and I both looked at each other and said,"we will do it !!"  Dr. Lemmons said," you are both not a match you make up fifty percent of him, but your other son just might be." And with no hesitation Rick and I both agreed that Triston would do it. I have often thought about what would we do if we had to look for a donor for our son. That is why we did our first bone marrow drive, I know there are many more to come.

HAPPY ANNIVERSERY HONEY !!!

Seventeen years ago today Rick and I were married. I love you honey !!  A happily ever after we are still working on. I asked him tonight if this is what he thought married life would be like ? He said,"yes but I never thought I would have a child with cancer." Fortunately life has it challenges. I know we where being prepared for this. Our little Hunter was signed up on a study program through Primaries where we were told he contains a gene that helps him respond very well to the chemo. (Hoping for a cure for others.) Hunter has only missed one of his counts for treatment. We are so very blessed knowing how lucky we truly are because I know things could be worse, a lot worse. Lots of people tell me how strong I am "if they only new me." The strength I have is the example our Hunter has shown me. Monday we will be on our way for treatment and were told daddy and Triston can not be in the clinic this time. We know the reasons are for the every one's own good, but Triston and Hunter are inseparable..... Not looking forward to clinic on Tuesday.

HAPPY B-LATED HALLOWEEN

Every year we go trunk-er treating at our ward Rick and I grew up in. This year the wind started to blow so we made a decision not to take the boy's out. So last minute decision to do a Halloween party at home for our boy's. Got some great advice from Katie (THANK YOU VERY MUCH !!) To do a fishing pond game couldn't wait until later but when Hunter woke up from his nap he was not in the MOOD !! He was excited with the decorations for Halloween in our living room but didn't want to get in his cow boy costume or play any games (He still hasn't put it on yet.) He didn't even want to carve pumpkins until yesterday. So,"HAPPY B-LATED HALLOWEEN !!" From the Laub's
